hello

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to 5th grade! I look forward to a fun, challenging, and exciting year!

The best way to achieve success is through hard work and communication. Please feel email me at [email protected] with any questions or concerns. I will try to answer all calls and/or emails within 24 hours. This year, I will be teaching ELA 5B in Block 1 and ELA 5C in Block 2.

Any donations of tissues, paper towels, and/or Clorox wipes would be GREATLY appreciated!

You can follow me on Twitter @MrBradyMarEl.

A little about me:

I have been teaching 5th grade in Marlboro since 2012. Prior to working in Marlboro, I taught 2nd and 4th grade at an independent charter school on the Lower East Side. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Marist College in Political Science and Spanish. I spent a semester studying in Madrid, Spain during college. I also hold a Master of Science in Education from St. John's University in Elementary General and Special Education. Most recently, I completed an educational leadership certificate program through the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association where I received my supervisor and principal certification.

I am originally from Boston, MA. Be warned - Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins memorabilia and souvenirs can and will be found in my classroom! Spending time with my wife and son is what truly brings light to my life. Nothing is more important than family.

🛝 I also love to explore playgrounds that have long, steep, fast slides with my son.

🐶 My dog loves to take long walks down the boardwalk. His favorite thing to do is run and play where the waves meet the sand.

🌊 The beach is my place to relax and recharge, no matter the season. Salty air leads to calmer minds!

📚 Reading is not only a pastime but a passion. Books allow me to experience different worlds; past, present, or future. I am always in the middle of a book. Once I finish it, I start the next one!
