Welcome to Mrs. Rodia's First Grade Class!

    My goal is to not only teach your children, but to instill a love of learning.  I would describe the culture of my classroom as one that is a safe, non-threatening, home away from home.  It is a happy place where we treat each other with respect and display appropriate behavior.  I instill in the children to give their personal best, take chances, to know that they are valued and develop positive self-esteem.  I will create a classroom that is positive and warm.   It is important for all of my students to feel good about themselves and develop a love of learning, in a caring classroom environment.
