Miss Lisnow's Kindergarten Teacher Webpage
I have been teaching Kindergarten for 17 years, this being my 16th year here in Marlboro. Each year, I teach my students that Mommy and Daddy are their "first and forever teachers." I believe children benefit most when parents and teachers can work together as partners in their child's education. Many parents in past years appreciated a weekly update. I will be updating my teacher page with a monthly projection and send a hard-copy on the last school day of each week (most often Fridays). This weekly "Classroom News" will help keep you informed of classroom happenings, reminders of upcoming school events and general information.
This is my 17th year teaching Kindergarten with 16 wonderful years spent here in Marlboro. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kean University in 2000 with a degree in Elementary Education. After spending many years working in "corporate America", I feel very fortunate to have found my true passion, which is educating young children. I am proud to announce that I was honored the 2013 Teacher of the Year by the Monmouth County Superintendents' Teacher Recognition Program for the A.E.L.C.. In the Spring of 2015, I was 1 of 24 teachers in Monmouth and Ocean Counties to be honored as a Teacher Who Rocks !
In my free time I enjoy renovating my home that I purchased in 2009, spending lots of time with my sweet puggle dog Chloe, reading, and hopefully, I will be kayaking around the Barnegat Bay once I overcome my fear of the ocean!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. The most expedient and convenient way to reach me is via e-mail; however, you may always send written correspondence. I am looking forward to a fantastic year with you and your children!
